Missa Cantata for the Knights of Malta

Yesterday for the Feast of St Mark the Evangelist, my Schola, Schola Santae Scholasticae, were asked to sing for the new Mass at St.James’ Spanish Place for the Grand Priory and British Association of the Order of Malta. The Mass was celebrated in the extraordinary form by Fr David Irwin.

We sang the propers Missa Protexisti Me along with Mass I, the Ordinary for Eastertide, Credo III, and my current favourite Easter hymn Concordi Laetitia. which we are singing  weekly at St Mary Magdalen’s during the Easter season.

The Inviolata was sung during the Last Gospel, and we finished with the Regina Caeli.

It is always a joy to sing in the expansive acoustic of St James’.

The Conventual Church of St John of Jerusalem have a blog. Take a look.
